Someone is in a hurry-to get somewhere, to finish something, etc. Does he make the deadline? What is he doing? Do he have an accident in his haste? Not complete the task? Did someone(s) lend a helping hand?
November 1st Challenge Responses

ATF -- Vin
“Take the shot!” the voice screamed through Vin’s headset. The sharpshooter tried to line up his shot, but the target kept moving out of his field of fire.
“Tanner!” the disembodied voice yelled at him, “The deadline is almost up. He’ll execute a hostage! Shoot!”
Vin scanned the area around the hostage-taker quickly, re-aimed, held his breath, and squeezed the trigger gently. A shot rang out and the large chandelier in the bank lobby plunged to the ground, taking out the gunman.
As the crowd of television reporters and spectators cheered, Vin leaned his forehead against the rifle in relief.

ATF – JD
JD rushed from his apartment, coat hanging off one arm, a half-filled glass of milk held between his teeth, untied shoelaces trailing behind as he hurried to his car.
Of all days to oversleep! Chris would go ballistic if he missed the multi-team meeting.
He dug for his keys, fumbling and dropping them under his car. He bent down to retrieve them, hitting his head on the car door as he straightened; milk flew everywhere. He landed full-length on pavement, scraping his cheek.
Rushing into the conference room later, JD felt astonished eyes turn to him.
"Don't ask," he muttered darkly.

ATF – Buck and Chris
(Doesn’t strictly meet the guidelines of the challenge, but it does involve a deadline and the consequences of missing one. <BG>)
"That's what ya get for waiting 'til the last minute," Buck said with a smirk.
"Shut up," Chris growled and gave his amused friend a heated glare.
"The boys and me signed up for the annual charity carnival right away. We got our pick of jobs. You would've too if you hadn't procrastinated so much. Maybe next year you'll listen when I remind you."
"You won't make it to next year," Chris threatened.
Buck grinned evilly, handed the booth attendant the fee, picked up a pie, and took aim at his friend.
"Smile," he said, letting it fly.
"BUCK!"

Angel Girl AU – Buck and JD
{Okay , so this one is sort of an anti-challenge, but I couldn’t resist. :D}
Buck twisted the top of the pen in his hand, screwing it almost off then tightening it again. He held it between his index and middle fingers and began tapping it on the table top.
“Buck! Stop fooling around and finish filling out those forms,” JD told him exasperatedly. “The deadline for enrolling Angel in kindergarten is tomorrow.”
Buck glared balefully.
JD patted his shoulder with gentle understanding.
“Keeping Angel out of school won’t stop her from growing up.”
Buck sighed sadly, “It’s too soon. I’m not ready for this.”
“No,” JD shot back, “But Angel is, so get busy!”
